God of War III is a forthcoming installment in the God of War video game franchise. It was formally announced at E3 2008, and is expected to be released in 2009 according to the Amazon website exclusively for the PlayStation 3.It is the fifth chapter in the series chronologically, after God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War, God of War: Betrayal and God of War II. The tagline for the game is "In the end, there will be only chaos".

Fans have been waiting for new information on God of War 3 and Sony has finally come through with a new trailer. Kratos is back to his old tricks with a next-gen look and attitude. God of War 3 is an exclusive PS3 title slated for release in 2009.
