FOX DUMPS TALK SHOW
TV SHOWS | Tue, 05 May 2009

Talk Show With Spike Feresten knocked out from Fox's schedule; new Wanda Sykes talk show will take over Saturday nights.

Spike Feresten.

Spike Feresten.

One of the surprising players in providing late-night talk-show viral videos over the past year was Fox's Talk Show With Spike Feresten, a largely under-the-radar late-night filler that just seemed to be hitting its stride. Don't expect any more Lil' Bill O'Reilly video clips in your e-mail box though; Fox just cancelled Talk Show.

Fox is retooling its late-night Saturday night, and those plans do not involve Spike Feresten, says Broadcasting & Cable. It was already announced that MadTV--which ran from 11 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays--was ending its run this season, and the removal of Talk Show leaves things wide open for Rupert Murdoch's network.

Filling the 11 p.m. hour will be a new talk show from The New Adventures of Old Christine's Wanda Sykes. That program is due out sometime next fall.

Chuck Spies A Return Date
TV SHOWS | Wed, 25 November 2009
Yeah, that's the lamest headline ever, but with news like this, who cares? Chuck, the best slacker-action-spy-comedy ever to air on NBC, will return on January 10 with back-to-back episodes on the first day of a two-day premiere. The show was originally slated for a March debut, but all one needs to do is take a look at the wasteland that is NBC programming to realize the network had some space to fill.
